High Caffeine Coffee That You Never Knew About

If you’re one of those people who always want a caffeine buzz and triple shot espresso isn’t quite strong enough for you, you might want to look into high caffeine coffees. They’ll get the job done in just a couple sips because they have crazy amounts of caffeine—think hundreds of milligrams in just a few ounces of brewed coffee!

We’re not sure how these high caffeine coffees got past the FDA! They pack a serious caffeine punch that could be dangerous for the wrong person. Consuming large amounts of caffeine can increase your risk of having an arrhythmia or ventricular fibrillation. Both of those things are bad news, and can even be fatal. Most coffee drinkers should not mess around with this stuff.

But if you routinely down a whole pot of coffee by yourself over the course of one morning, these high caffeine coffees will satisfy your endless cravings for caffeine, shrinking your actual coffee consumption down to (hopefully) just one cup! They’re engineered to have the highest levels of caffeine possible, and boy do they deliver!

So get your favorite coffee mug ready because here are a few of the highest caffeine coffees for those brave enough to drink them. We’ve also thrown in a couple of coffees that are moderately higher in caffeine than the average cup, but not so high that they’ll give you palpitations if you drink too much!

  • BOLD FLAVOR: Immerse yourself in a smooth, subtle, never-bitter cherry and chocolate flavor profile. We've carefully selected and expertly ground premium Arabica and Robusta...

This aptly named coffee has about 944 mg of caffeine in every sixteen ounce cup. That’s more caffeine than you’re supposed to consume in a whole day!

Most health experts recommend that you limit yourself to 400 mg of caffeine per day, which is around 2 large sixteen-ounce cups of coffee. This single cup of Death Wish coffee has more caffeine in it than 4 large cups of regular coffee combined. Isn’t that crazy?

If you drink a cup of this high caffeine coffee, make sure that your caffeine tolerance is high and you don’t have seconds!

Biohazard Whole Bean Coffee, The World's Strongest Coffee 928 mg Caffeine (16 oz)
  • Biohazard coffee presents the strongest coffee on Earth.
  • 928mg of caffeine will wake you up from the deepest of sleeps, and get you through the toughest of meetings. Also great for early morning college classes or up-all-night study...
  • This product is the whole bean variety.

Noticing a theme here? Death Wish, Biohazard… these coffee brands are pretty much admitting that you shouldn’t drink their coffee because it’s bad for your health!

Whatever their marketing strategy is, it’s not really working on us! We couldn’t see ourselves drinking this coffee on the regular because it has way too much caffeine. If you drink a sixteen ounce cup, you’ll have 928 mg of caffeine coursing through your body. That’s enough to give anybody a huge headache! Or superpowers, we’re not sure which.

If you’re a coffee lover (of course you are), you’re probably already using high-quality coffee beans. Most tasty gourmet coffees are made using a type of bean called arabica. They have a high concentration of sugars, which gives them complex, nuanced flavors. You’ll probably taste a little fruitiness, some hints of caramel, and some other subtle flavors if you use arabica beans.

Another type of coffee bean, called robusta, is less preferred by coffee lovers. It has a lower concentration of sugars than arabica beans, which gives it a more bitter, earthy flavor.

Not quite sure what really is the difference between Arabica and Robusta beans? Boy do we have the perfect article for you! Check it out here.

But the upside of using robusta beans is that they have more caffeine. That’s why this coffee from Cafe Rogusta uses robusta beans—it’ll give you a bigger caffeine kick than the arabica coffees you’re used to drinking.

Robusta beans have about 84% more caffeine than arabica beans. So if a sixteen-ounce cup of arabica coffee has around 200 mg of caffeine, give or take, a cup of coffee from a brand like this that uses robusta beans will have around 370 mg of caffeine.

That amount of caffeine will still give you a nice buzz, but it won’t push you over the daily limit of caffeine recommended by health experts. That’s why we love this coffee from Cafe Rogusta—it gives us that jolt we’re after without being too strong!

It will cure any caffeine craving you have and give you enough energy to power through your day! One reviewer even said it made her feel like a superhero!

Black Insomnia says their coffee beans are super caffeinated thanks to their artisanal roasting process. The beans are placed in a big drum roaster and roasted to toasty brown perfection. When you open your bag of supercharged gourmet beans, you’ll be hit with luscious aromas like hazelnut, macadamia, and dark chocolate. Just don’t let those tasty smells tempt you to brew too much! Drink responsibly, my friends.

"Black Label" Dark Roast Whole Bean Coffee, The World's Strongest Coffee, Lab Tested at 1,555 ml Caffeine Per 12 Ounces, USDA Certified Organic (16 Oz)
  • Black Label is an amalgamation of the world’s strongest and organic whole bean coffee. Hence, One cup of this coffee will make you unstoppable throughout the whole day.
  • Black label serves you with a unique dark roast blend that is smooth, full-bodied, rich, savory and sinful.
  • It adds flavor to your life and excludes bitterness so that you can enjoy the great taste without jitters.

We saved the highest caffeine coffee for last—Black Label coffee from Devil Mountain Coffee Company. There’s 1555 mg of caffeine in just one twelve ounce cup of these coffee beans, so they’ll really make you bounce off the walls!

These beans have way, way more caffeine than the other high caffeine coffees we covered. Death Wish only has around 950 mg of caffeine in each sixteen-ounce cup, and so does Biohazard. But with this coffee from Black Label, you’ll get an extra 600 mg of caffeine in a smaller, twelve ounce cup.

That’s why you have to be really careful with this stuff. Just one small cup has as much caffeine as a whole pot of coffee! It tastes really good going down because it’s a smoky, full-bodied dark roast. But be careful not to overindulge, or you’ll have the jitters and shakes all day!
